Sounds like My Brother's Bar-B-Q was more about nostalgia than knockout flavor. The old-school diner vibe and that full-size cow on the sign set expectations high, but the food didn’t quite follow through.

Highlights:

  • Classic, unchanged-since-1957 atmosphere
  • Neatly packed take-out with generous-looking plates
  • BBQ baked beans and sides were the standouts

Letdowns:

  • Tri tip sliced and re-grilled for looks more than flavor
  • Pre-sauced meat where the sauce didn’t add much
  • Extra-charred chicken and unremarkable baby back ribs
  • $36 that felt more like a lesson than a win

End result: not sabotage-level bad, but definitely not a 7in7-worthy BBQ triumph. On to the next spot in the quest for true BBQ greatness.
