BBQ Junkie

I am taking recommendations on any additional barbecue restaurants in Los Angeles or anywhere else in Southern California.

Upon entering, we were greeted with smiles and genuine hospitality… a very difficult thing to find in Los Angeles.

Funny as it sounds, they were in some ways better (more meaty, flavorful and tender) than other ribs that I had eaten durring the week.

So why not give it a try and throw so photos up on my blog while I’m at it.

This was beginning to smell a little bit like sabotage, but it would take more than a lunch meeting to keep the BBQ Junkie down. Much more.

Today was the 7in7 hump-day and it ended up being a bit of a challenge for me.

As with any restaurant that is named “Santa Maria Barbecue Company,” you have to go with the BBQ tri tip.

I was told that they have a couple of vegetarian items, kabobs and such, but to avoid the fries because they were cooked in lard.

The tri tip was pretty damn good (I understand why it’s their signature item), very tender, smoky and scrumptious.

Two plates to share between the three of us is all that we ordered, how could it come out to $23 a person?
