This weekend (on Saturday) the 5th Annual Smokin’ in The Park BBQ competition will be held at the the Viejas Casino in Alpine, CA (Just east of San Diego). This festival seems to get bigger every year with lots of entertainment and stuff to do.

OY. I’m still stuffed. That was absolutely one of the BEST BBQ events I’ve ever been to. And they had some incredible bands (two stages, all day…until like 10pm) for FREE…so we spent the whole day there, literally. And it’s all in an beautiful area next to their mall and casino, so there was not a boring moment the whole day. I need some rest now! I’ll be back at Smokin in the Park next year, that’s for sure.

We had a great time, although we were down one teammate. Lots of BBQ, great weather, great people, and a fun event. I will update my photos soon.

that was my biggest meal this year lol, on Monday I had nothing to eat due to the hardcore weekend lol. congrats to the organizers and the chefs, I had a really great time

I’ve been to few rib-fest competitions which were awesome. Must check this one out!
