Lilly’s BBQ in San Francisco

I haven’t actually been to Lilly’s BBQ yet, but there is this website called Turn Here that features videos on travel destinations. They have a video that has an interview with the owner of Lilly’s and shows some great looking Barbeque… after seeing this video I am ready to pack a bag and head up there for a BBQ filled weekend. If you are considering going to the Bay Area anytime soon, you might want to give Lilly’s BBQ a go. If you have been to Lilly’s, I would love for you to share your experience by leaving a comment.
I would also like to mention, off of the BBQ tip, that Turn Here features short videos on out-of-the-way neighborhoods, restaurants and activities. It’s just like the Travel Channel used to be when it used to actually focus on cool travel content. I was surprised that they actually had a video that covered the Topanga Canyon area and it featured one of my favorite dog-friendly breakfast spots, Pat’s Topanga Grill. BTW, they have an amazing $3.85 breakfast special during the week. The more you browse through their videos the more you just want to get out and explore your local neighborhoods.

Here are some video selections for you:

Welcome back. Thanks for all the great tips. I checked the webcam view of the BBQ Brethren Bash in Long Island. BigMista is having a ball it looks like. FYI your first link for Turn Here has an extra http.:>

I will definately check that out. I haven’t heard of it, I usually go to Big Nate’s or Brother in Law if I’m in SF.

I don’t know Lilly’s, but it’s hard to believe that it’s better than Bob Kantor’s Memphis Minnie’s (http://www.memphisminnies.com/). Kantor cooks with oak wood only (in downtown San Francisco!) and he’s a barbecue scholar who spends his vacations touring great Southern BBQ establishments. I’m a Tennessean who has lived in North Carolina for 35 years and has a daughter in Texas, so you’d better believe it’s a compliment when I say that his ‘cue is right up there with ours.
Check it out. And by the way, his side dishes are great, too.

Lilly’s had been known for years as ‘Brother-In-Law’s’, and yes, it is the best barbeque in the city.
