BBQ Recipes

I was just watching part of Food Network’s All Star Thanksgiving and I saw that Alton Brown made a honey brined smoked turkey. The turkey looked delicious, but I wasn’t too keen on his presentation with the mashed potatoes. If you happened to think that the show was a bit rushed, like I did, here is a link the recipe.

I didn’t see the Alton Brown show, but I read your comments on the appearance of the turkey. So, I visited the link and decided that this would be my “star” of Thanksgiving. It was absolutely delicious. It had a very, very faint honey taste…delicious and nicely browned, but, extremely moist!
I also saw the post on Soul Fushion about turducken. I decided that I will attempt this recipe for Christmas dinner! It looks awesome!

This year my wife decided to have a dry run thanksgiving day to test out her recipes. We soaked the bird in a brine solution she got at William Sonoma, it really kept it moist. OMG, the turkey was so good and I get to do it again in a few days!

Does anyone remember what Alton Brown put in the smoke bomb in addition to the wood chips?
