Big Lu, We went to Lucille’s Smokehouse Barbeque in Del Amo for dinner today. The joint was packed with 40-50 minute waits. Everyone seemed to love it. I was not impressed. Big portions, but not to die for. What’s your take on this place?

I haven’t been there yet, but will try to get there soon. Big portions doesn’t equal good BBQ.

Lucille’s is what it is. It’s a place that “cooks” their meats and then finishes them on the grill with their decent BBQ sauce. Not authentic BBQ but decent food. I feel a little on the high side.
I would like to have a BBQ Ribs Taste-Off.
Here is how it would work. We will meet at a park. When people RSVP, they will list the BBQ place where they will bring one slab of ribs and BBQ sauce on the side to this taste off. That way we can try as many different BBQ places as possible.
We then all dig in!!!!!!!
If this is something that sounds good, let’s start making plans to host the First Annual BBQ Junkie Taste Off!!!!!!!
