I had no BBQ for Christmas Dinner, but, as you can see in the picture, there was plenty of good food to be had. There were some chicken tamales, a pot of seafood/chicken gumbo, gravy for the turducken and a pot of collard greens. yummmm. Food is a big component to any holiday celebration, feel free to post a comment on what you had or are having. In the mean time, I am going to go heat up some left overs.

Did you do the cooking (I’m especially curious about your experience with the Turducken? Happy New Year

My brother-n-law, Big George, usually does the turducken. He orders it from some cajun kitchen in Lousiana. For Christmas I will do tamales and some gumbo (but this year my mother-n-law did the gumbo and the greens). Occasionally I like to throw down a sweet potato pie.

Our family had some barbecue for the Holidays. My niece wanted to try how barbecuing works. She absolutely forbade the others to help her with the barbecuing. Some of the barbecues turned out quite well. The other barbecues got burnt. All was well though. We also had some chicken tamales, grilled chicken , pasta, and mango cake.
